10 out of 5 stars. Couldn't give higher praise, really. We were traveling from NJ to MO. Altamonte, IL was just supposed to be another exit we sped by, until the "check engine" light came on after we hit two of those orange and white barrel cones (long story). Our first blessing was landing at the only hotel/Jack Flash convenience and gas/McDonald's /Subway oasis for many miles around. Our second blessing was Ritter's. We called first thing Monday morning and he had us on the road and completely fixed/inspected/cleared by Tuesday morning. We buzzed on along our way to Columbia MO and then back home to NJ with nary a bump. He did not overcharge (no "stranded traveler's discount", LOL) and even credited us a very cool 10% for being AAA members. He compiled a list of "next few thousand miles" things to be aware of and he saved our family vacation. He picked up my stranded self at the hotel and he drove me back to my car at the shop. People like that just don't exist much, anymore. And it was a vacation of laughter, hugs, food and the love of family, courtesy of Greg Ritter, his employees and his auto repair shop. My wife had a flat tire on the interstate a hour and a half from home called up Ritters and they went out to help her put on the spare and then were able to get her in quickly. Im very happy with the service and will use them again if I need a shop while in the area.

My son and I got a flat tire on the way to Chicago. Gerry and his team went above and beyond to help us out!

I got stranded on one of the hottest days this summer. I called Greg explained what was happening and he handled it all. Called for a tow truck and got it fixed for me. Greg also asked and made sure I had a way to get home. He cares about his customers and goes above and beyond to assist them.

we made it a little over an hour away from home and the car started messing up. We found the closest auto repair shop and THANK GOD for nice people! Ritters Auto Repair in Kinmundy, IL got us in right at opening at 8:00am, figured out the problem, drove an hour (one way) to get the part we needed, fixed the issue and got us back on the road! We are about 5 hours behind schedule, but thanks to them we can continue our trip!! ❤️
